Overdone? No. Well done? No. The idea's great, but if the slices are soooooo thin, give us some translucence in those cross-sections. They should be as thin as rice paper, and about as see-through. 9 stars because it gets the message across, but loses 2 on execution.

I like the idea, but it would have been more effective in posters because you could have show 1000's of slices from a single carrot. Really driven the point home with a little hyperbole. As the previous comments suggest, thinner and translucency would only strengthen the idea & execution.

Overall, good but could have been better.
