Don't know.., seems to me the idea has been around for a while.
I agree with them. Maybe the other agency (Matriz?) did crib the idea.. I believe their ads were published a month later, correct? This is not nice..
I like Ogilvy's campaign more.
On a different note, I don't think that you should stop posting "hand painted" ads! Just because this concept has been around for years doesn't mean we should shelve it.

That doesn't look like hand painting .
The more original, outstanding an ad, the more angry I get when I see it copied. About this issue I don't feel unbearable frustration.
