And your comments are stupid and useless, but nobody is insulting you because of that. Just your comments.

Guest's picture

does not make any sense.

there is no justification for a bad idea, when u just wanna show off ur photoshop skills. which arent apparent at all, since the retouching sucks.

Prof's picture 857 pencils

this makes no sense

theres no justification for a bad idea when u just wanna show how cool ur at photoshop. and the photoshop is bad.

Quite really.

LeeHarvey's picture 1798 pencils

I think the photoshop isn't that bad and I quite like the idea, mister-who-calls-himself PROF! Did you notice it's STUDENT work or were you so determined to share your stupid comment with us that you overlooked?

Prof's picture 857 pencils

believe me, the first thing i look at before the ad, is where its from. if a student is confident enough to send this to aotw and actually get the front page, then he should be ready to eat some critisism for breakfast. i stated my points. you got a problem with that?

and if you liked this ad, then sir, leave the business, cuz you almost wont find anything more overdone than a brain. and the photoshop is bad, thats a fact.

yeah you should leave the business.

Quite really.

Guest's picture

For calling yourself a professor you're quite retarded in your criticism. Everyone expects criticism, but as a professor you should be providing CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, not the ridiculous pointless negative destruction of an ad, a comment which will be ignored and contribute nothing to anything other than to your own embarrassment as a "Prof".

I encourage this student to keep trying, since if you look at the essence of his idea it wasn't absolutely horrible.

I do however encourage you to retire from teaching if that is what you pretend to do for a living.

Please guys don't escalate this thread further. Stay friends! :)

LeeHarvey's picture 1798 pencils

Ivan, you're quite right, but I can't stand wiseguys picking on students like they're in the business for years. They are students for heavens' sake, still learning. It's okay to give your opinion but don't be too harsh on those youngsters still in school.

ivan's picture

It's nice of you. But they need to grow a thick skin anyway sooner or later if they want to stay in this business, right? :)

LeeHarvey's picture 1798 pencils

Right again, but they will grow their elephantskin when they're in the business in no time....

dlue's picture 130 pencils

did you really just pick a fight on ads of the world? cause i have a problem with that? that's freaking funny.
and yeah apparently in your case the brain is over done. way way over done... or is it just not enough... something to ponder

cheers,
dlue

maashookshee's picture 390 pencils

retouching is boring as well as the idea.., respect

Guest's picture

is that a locale which looks like a brain?

ilovegreatads's picture 282 pencils

why are we so vicious about student work? why don't you dudes tell the kid something constructive?

john.lighttern's picture 141 pencils

OK, here we go:

KIDS, NO MORE BRAIN!

LeeMoh's picture 320 pencils

As if most of the commentors here are more than students.

Guest's picture

yea... for once leave the students alone man.
if they do not make mistakes who will? YOU??

Guest's picture

broccoli... ?

kgeiger's picture 5158 pencils

Can someone please explain what a peice of broccoli has to do with Jeep?

Guest's picture

Dreaming is about heart. Not brain

Guest's picture

"For those who dream" to drive a Jeep? Or to dream when we drive? It's dangereous...

kri8z's picture 10 pencils

Thanks for the comments. Hope to see you again with some better works soon :)

Guest's picture

mas cerebros? mejor usemoslo para hacer mas busqueda

silvi's picture 1464 pencils

i don´t see connection between brain and dreams.

Guest's picture

good effort and nicely executed. but please check what has been done and do it better or differently. this one reminds me too much of the economist ad.

Guest's picture

done by economist, with the top view of newspprs...%$#*^%%*&$

Guest's picture

Never use paint brushes to make shadows that way. Even my grandmother know that. You're not ready to expose your work yet, someday but not yet

For now, start learning and read comments.

cp's picture 354 pencils

art does not match up to idea

Guest's picture

If you put FORD it will work the same way as for JEEP, so, bad ad.

Tommy G.'s picture 85 pencils

Well, I won't say it's horrible because chances are, a student is behind that and have to learn. I would say that the 'brain concept' is overused and the photoshop render is not very well done. Would have been better to use darker trees and real trails to make the path.

(Btw, is that a forest or a broccoli? Not even sure)

Guest's picture

OK, the execution could be better-a little clearer. But it isn't that difficult to figure out what the creator of the Jeep Brain pic was trying to convey. If you look it appears to be an aerial shot of a jungle or forest. Jeep/Outdoors/Forest.
And I do believe that constructive criticism is great. As a teacher I find the demeaning statements and negative criticism towards students to be gutless, usually from a "teacher" with frustrations he or she takes out on students.
