This one is the best of them three.
Well...First you make Giselle look like Beyoncé Knowles..than you do a copy that says.."Because The Earth is Blue"
What the F* does this copy have to do with a dress made out of water???? C'mon copywriter go to work...do something that acctually makes some sence in the ad.
Congratualtions to the art director on the dress...It is not your fault that the copy makes no sense.
I agree with the first part of your post Joker.
For the copy, i think that he might says : " 80% of the earth is made of water, wear sandals ( better than trucks, or tank)".
I don't think this visual deserve a copy, or more comment...
Makes it difficult to focus on the sandals. But well done, of course.

the lustful part of my brain says that this is a good ad - thanx to giselle of course. but the logical part of me says that this ad is 'so cheap yet so expensive'. doesnt make any sense. AD is good though.

If you read the body text, than you find the sense to have a dress made by water but just with the text "the earth is blue" doesn't make sense at all. It is just a nice art direction. Anyway, great job guys!
Great art direction I must say. Though I'm missing the connection between water and sandals...are these sandals made of waterproof materials?
I think elm that the connection may be that the company with to show that they are eco-friendly. If you look on the right hand side it shows all the charities they sponsor.

Maybe my english not so well as urs but my opinion - what are u speaking about& About not well paid model? About persents of water on th Earth? ABOUT WHAT???Picture have done ASTONISHING!!!!! TRY create anything looks so great... I can pary that million girls would be like to have picture like this - pretty sure about it, and maybe not ONLY girls...))) . IT IS EXELLENT WORK!!! BRAVO!

pra falar a verdade so a cabeca eh da Gisele, o resto nao eh nada dela
foram mais de 500 fotos selecionadas para fazer o vestido de agua
dpois de muitos testes de muitas maneiras de se jogar agua na modelo a melhor foi via balde mesmo
um fotografo americano fez a foto da cabeca da gisele e um brasileiro ficou com a outra parte (balde de agua, modelo etc - parte + trabalhosa)
o processo demorou + - uns 3 meses
(fonte: photoshop conference 2008 - eu estava la e o fotografo tb)

I recently purchased a pair of ipanema..beautiful i must say.
but trust me...its not at all comfortable. i went for holidays in singapore
and the sandals caused me so many blisters on my feet was aching mad that
i had to get a new pair of sandals. what a waste of money!!!!! pls dont get it unless ur thinking of wasting some cash!!!!
