These just get worse. The entire campaign is bloodbath in more ways than one. If I were the client I would start freaking out right about now as ad revenue began to fall and listeners switched to stations that did not machete their listeners.
you have to read the headlines: they're making funny sentences out of bands' names. In this case, Britney "spears" Lady Gaga (i.e. she killed her with a spear, that's what you see behind the white sheet). The point is, this radio station believes their music (Britney's and Lady Gaga's) is not music worth listening (and I agree with them, so I'll be a potential listener, if I lived in Ireland). A bit convoluted, maybe, but still funny.

A lot of people don't get it probably because English is not their native language.. To spear means to pierce.. We have a clever play on words (names) here. I love the entire campaign! It's morbidly funny AND original.
