Think it would've been stronger if the dog was actually looking at its tongue, either looking up or down perhaps? It's as though, nothing really happened, just lazing around on another Sunday afternoon. I mean having your tongue elongated and wrapped around the head? The dog seems a bit too relaxed.

The eyes aren't relevant to the way his tongue is hanging out - his tongue was wrapped around his head while he was sitting in the car with his head out the window, tongue hanging out... ..that's how fast the car is. Or at least that's what the image is implying. Not that the car wrapped his tongue around his head as it passed or that he's that excited about it. It's supposed to be the after effect.
A lot of people on here are way too critical.
