Creatively, I like it. But logically, if there was a human baby out alone on the tundra, a sealion WOULD kill it. Just not with a club.)
A more logical concept would be if the wild sealion would be killing the baby in the living room, since we (humans) go into their territory killing their babies and skining them sometimes alive.

I saw film footage of the annual baby seals 'clubbing' season in Canada a few months ago and it was absolutely brutal. This ad is brutal, but sometimes it takes this kind of imagery to get to our emotions better.

I don't believe that the animal would have killed the baby. A lot of mammals found abandonned human babies and protected and fed them. This picture maybe is sick but not not sicker than people who mistreat animals like the one who wants to go to the zoo and... And Anyway the animals aren't logical beings. They react with instinct. If you think how some ''humans'' react, you will understand who is the sick one here! Why don't you angry e accept the mistreatment of humans but aren't you a little beat schocked about the mistreatment of animals? One shows hier his educational level too.
the reverse pic the one with a human clubbing a baby seal is kinda iconic... guess thats why they stick to this backdrop... so that it triggers something...

Wrong message, it looks like animal rights campaigners would kill babies before killing a sea lion. Wait a minute that,s not too far off the mark.
I found this campaign to be very well done. Good campaigns send a provacative message you can't turn away from. We kill baby seals, and other baby animals for fur and food. They knew everyone would loose it, when they would have to consider what if the same were to happen to our babies. Although, most parents loose it just having to realize, the world isn't made just for baby and them.
This certainly is better than PETA's pornography.

Look into the image and discover what it really means, what lies beneath it
don't analyse it to the point where it's become structured with only one meaning

Ok get over it for god sake. The killing of baby seals have stopped for more thant 40 YEARS. And know that 3 millions seals eats all of the fishs, crustacians etc. in the sea. Controled hunting just keep the numbers of seals at a natural balance to save the living creatures in the sea. And what about the so cute non biodegradables stuffed babies seal that natural organizations sales to make money???
Think of how soft the leather from that baby would be. Good catch on the seal's part.

This is one of those ads that polarises opinions, some will hate it, others will admire the hard-hitting(no pun intended) approach.
I say; if it opens up a debate it has done its job.
