"Our cement column is so strong that it can withstand Chinese New Years"

The Art Director and Copywriter were really not on the same page with this one.

Uhm... isn't this how cement columns are usually taken down anyway? With explosives? Plus those tiny little firecrackers don't look powerful enough to do any damage.

Bad packshot and weak art direction. Too many things on the layout and the explosives look like firecrackers. The expression of the person lighting fire on dynamite is also suggestive of a comic setting. Who will ablaze the dynamite so closely!

The campaign concept has merit, but needs more work.

The dynamite is supposed to look like fireworks your morans. From the moment I saw the pogo stick ad I knew what this ad set was supposed to be, and I think it's done very well - even if the art direction is quite Book of Eli-ish.

I think the problem of the ad is that they chose a child and not a real man.
And that leads to the misunderstandings. By the way: It is the same idea
the german agency Scholz & friends realised for antinoisewindows from weru.
