Not sure what your comment refers to. Idea, art direction, or the use of Dennis Rodman? If it's about Dennis Rodman, then that's irrelevant because the ad is promoting a tv show featuring Dennis Rodman. But if it's about the idea or art direction, what would you suggest to make it up to date? Please be a bit more elaborate.

I think it's a nice campaign.

i was referring specifically to rodman's cultural significance. but beyond that, the art direction is dated as well. considering it's a headline driven campaign with no real concept, i would have suggested developing a more unique look. in the absence of that, at least use a photographer with a distinct and modern style. that said, considering there's no photographer on the credits, it's likely they lifted the photography from an existing source. so the art direction consisted of little more than choosing a typeface. and aside from this headline, the writing is formulaic and very reminiscent of mid 90s advertising. other than that, i think it's fine.

I agree with you on all counts except the art direction, because, why over complicate an already interesting image (look at him for christ's sake! he looks nuts!)?

It does all it needs.

The copy needs re-worked. Let the image speak for itself.

Thanks for being more elaborate. However, not everybody is lucky enough to work on big budget campaigns. Sometimes you have to work with what you have. And if that's actually the case, I think they did a pretty good job.

I had to do a small research about brand and program because I didn´t know them (holly You Tube).

I like the campaign and how photography works with that text because it shows how simple a star can be.
In this one, if you zoom in, there is a grey and blured wave surrounding Dennis that shouldn´t be there.
The contrast of black, skin and shadows help the idea of High Definition.(HDNet)

(Stars changing ordinary people life... I´ve seen that with Xzibit and Pimp my Ride)

Having seen Rodman through his transformation years and actually hanging with him in the O.C. he's definitely a guy with a lot of character. Albeit, several unbalanced ones.

I like the photography, if that matters to anyone.

The mere fact that it was evident from the thumbnail that it was Dennis and you clicked, leads me to believe that his 'cultural relevance' is not past its sell-by date.

Nicely shot. Copy sharpish.

The fact that I click on every ad leads me to believe you're talking out of your ass. But I appreciate your opinion of my opinion all the same.

I come in peace and my comments were relevant to the ad content not a critique of yours.
