Not a bad idea, I think it should be much harder to see the animal though. Still leaps out of the wood cut.

Hmmmm...they are smart but the ideas have been used before...think it was a wildlife/nature campaign using tiger stripes, leopard spots to depict depletion of our forest covers...or something to that effect.

Inclined to agree...it was a bit much but anywho...to each their own...do you know the ads I am referring to?

This is what I was referring to(see links below)...and before anyone accuses me of being on Crack, PCP, MDMA, LSD or the like, for me, this is what the Osa Peninsula campaign reminded me of:

Nope, still not close. Where do you buy your crack. I'm looking for a new supplier, mine cuts his stuff and I just don't see the stuff I used to.

It's half past one here, so the bar's have been open for a long time.

king of slim works in saudi so i guess the only crack he has access to is the guy who sits opposite him

What does that even mean?

I don't work in saudi, but thanks for reading my bio. I'm surprised you thought that the saudi part was real when my "real" name reads, slim 'knuckles' jim.

You're a real genius there Barbie. Nice work.

there have been ads with a very similar idea - almost faded-to-white pictures of endangered animals.

could they be more literal?
if these birds are hard to see it's maybe
a) because of their natural camouflage
b) because you'd better wear glasses or
c) because of the stamp filter they applied to this picture.

Agree with your comments, but the reference given is completely different.

the idea of hiding things in the image to say 'its going to disappear soon' - esp for public service, is about 10 years old.

Agreed. The reference has nothing to do with these ads. Completely diff. BUT, I find this execution style similar to this campaign:

Again, to easy to see...I think it has too much of that good Brazilian print influence...
