English is not my main language. Would English-speaking people be confused with the synonym 'fan' for like, football fans?

Anyway, art direction is really neat but that's bout it. Why do they inspire art?

No, the word fan as in fooball fan is usually only used in sports contexts or as in "I'm a fan." I think the two meanings for fan is so different that the context makes it clear which is meant.

If anything is going to confuse me, it's this ad. I think I just don't get it at all.

don't get it. art direction is lame, pulling up the rug to show copy, and the gray, white and red blah.

It's a fan campaign, "Fan" as in a ventilator, a device that has three blades and blows air. What you see in the carpet is a re-interpretation.

I am not getting it. Is it a published ad? I doubt.

I think there is one more point i.e. power of air blown by fan. Look at the carpet, it's bottom right corner is flipped and logo & line is placed there ;)
