Indian audience loves inspirational figures, so this fits perfect, and people love to look at handmade stuff, even if the execution is done to the hilt

to Steve Beckmann...if u r into advertising first drop ur prejudices. If Indian audience love inspirational figures, then every other audience in every other country love inspirational figures. Not anything particular with India that suddenly if u advertise ur product with inspirational figures the ad is going to click. That's fresh crap i heard this morning

My apologies if I offended you while finding GOOD things to say about this campaign, perhaps I should have used the word "Iconography". My assumption was based on my experiences inside Indian owned businesses that have a substantial amount of Hindi, and religious figures hanging all around their shops.

One can safely assume these ads were made for the masses, whatever country they appeared in. What a member of the advertising and design community likes and what the average person likes are often worlds apart. The fact that you hate these ads and consider them an insult doesn't tell us how the average citizen of India would feel about them.
