Maybe it's just a personal opinion, but lotion adverts fall into the beauty category and should therefore look attractive. Big ugly mosquitoes just don't do it for me.
I agree, but the idea is still nice.
Agreed. The idea of "clumsy" just doesn't mesh well w/ a cosmetic. This was probably an idea in search of a client.

"I love everything"
and shows that it will atract the mosquitoes
mmmm.. no. something just doesn't connect. the Idea isn't perfect, i like how it's totally different, but I don't think evey consumer would think about it like that, they'd just look away.
hahahahaha
nastyjester, u r a client. a big sad one.
this will win a cannes.
You're a creative who worked on this ad. A big sad one, who can't find the shift key.
And you're dreaming. This will win Jack Shit.
I agree with you, that mosquito with skates is sooooooooo fake, student idea, forced and ugly
I second that, do not insult students' work; they're way better!
withalltherespects
does this lotion is all about smoother skin. This is a beautifully executed and interesting ad for me. But, I don't think this ad will make me buy this lotion.
smile plz!!!!
Interesting idea. But shouldn't the mozzy have suckers on its feet rather than skates - to try to fight the effects of the smooth skin? I agree the mozzy is a bit unnecessarily gross too. The illustration style could have taken care of that.
Interesting idea though. Not terrible. Fresh as far as I know.
oh my god, i cant believe this work done by ogilvy, so terrible
Why don't you believe that a terrible idea could come from Ogilvy? I work at one of the most 'highly rated' Ogilvy agencies in the network and unfortunately there is nothing unbelievable about us doing terrible work. The work that appears in the books does not reflect what we do for clients.
Given that, I don't think this ad is terrible. I think it could be improved, but it has good bones and is not terrible IMO.
ah i think the idea is fantastic, just wish it was done better tho :( Still time to fix it for awards.
Well, I think I would want to go beyond showing something slipping off. Maybe illustrate how many people would want give you a hug. I don't know, I could be way off.
what is the URL of ads of the world? I landed on scam of the world by mistake.
a butterfly would have worked much better...
well... a freh coat of paint for an otherwise much used premise for the product category
An insect on its back with its legs in the air would have been smarter than sticking a mosquito in a pair of ice skates.
thats creative
great
shahid
Easy way out. And a bad one.
some mistakes in this one, haizzz...sometimes need them to develope more and more
Esta gastadisimo ese recurso de usar un mosquito haciendo actividades extrañas en la piel de alguien, justo para la categoria CREMAS DE CUERPO o REPELENTES. Hasta cuando.
i quite like it though i agree beauty product with mosquitoes are bit too much
"which sells the product are the ads"
Nice idea out of strategy
JWT ¨Paris made something very similar two or three years ago, a spider who broke all his crawls because the floor was so slippery...

i lke the idea it's funny
very cute. that's only cute.
I think blades would be more destructive to the skin...
going totally opposite came good enough eh!
ha ha funny one! nice concept...
The Mosquito didn't need the ice skates.
