Much better than the whale ad. Good use of the concept. Maybe some work should be done on the execution.
Cool but ive seen the direct lions winners of 2006 sorry guys that melted snow man in a bag was better, more impressive and creative.
There Is New Shit Under The Sun. There are still BigBadFatMadaka ideas.

claro, preciso y conciso ;-)
Cool.
Reminds me of Saatchi UK's 'ignore it and it will go away' world ad/poster.
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.
has it not been done before?? guess I have seen something like this for global warming campaign earlier..
Nice execution though.
finally something good for greenpeace!
"no-snow globe"!!!
Although true but I guess not many people will be inspired to do anything by it.

This has been done last year by Tequila as a direct mailer. Come on guys
I like this ad creatively. My only concern with all the global climate change ads is they are exaggerating the predictions. In general it works in advertising, but it may backfire in this particular situation. People will read and learn the true effects and therefore will reject all overstatements.
Now, I'm not saying that global climate change is something we should not be worried about. But it's not about the winter going away. A few degrees of average global temperature rise will create a havoc in the world, but it won't make winter go away. It will make the sea levels rise destroying all cities next to the sea forcing 20% of the world population to move. This will not only create rising real estate prices, it will create a massive amount of refugees. Rising CO2 will also make the sea more acidic making calcium dependent small creature hard to survive. This will probably change animal and plant life in oceans as we know it. With shrinking polar caps sea currents will also change creating unexpected cool winters and extreme hot summers in different parts of the world. Generally hotter oceans will create bigger storms and hurricanes. These are the things we should be worried about.
If you put these issue in perspective, a claim "snowman no more" seems weak to me.

Sounds like someone has been doing his homework. They really should let you have a go at the account. But yeah, reading what you just said makes that idea weak... I meant weaker.

It's all true Ivan but really in some countries the winter might be without snow...And that is a big change. Even a few degrees can make this change.
So in my opinion, in some countries "snowman nomore" can be a reality.
I agree with you.

That's true.

Good thinking, and it works well.
Something a little stale about it however, it does do exactly as it should.

If the snow globe was also overflowing onto the table then we might have been onto a winner here.
As it stands, so so.

dude, sno-globes can't over flow.
Like the rest of the ad was tied to logic.

Is anybody awake here?!!!! This is the exact same idea as Tequila did. It won a bronze lion last year!
But this one is for Greeeeeeeeen Peeeeeeeeeeeeace.
Dude, who's asleep here?

I assume you are joking? Exact same idea, different client.
Exactly. Diferent client.
Dude keep up.
Jeez.

it says "warmest christmas wishes from whybin\tequila".
it's a smart & sweet christmas card.
but the way of thinking is completely different.
they're not the same idea.
Ok, you are joking
yeah I was dude.

read crichton's 'state of fear.'
as for the ad, the snow globe has been bastardized enough, leave it alone.
i've actually seen these in a store a year ago. not really an idea, if it's already a novelty.
This is fine. But it's nothing new. These snow globes have been around for decades. I have one from when I went to Florida, it's a snowman in Florida.
So, while the idea does work, I don't find it that interesting.
very nice
Hardly very appropriate for South Africa? Not much snow down there. Agree with Ivan's statements too. A gross over-simplification. Some people even think that no winter is one of the positives of climate change.
The umpire signals 'wide' on this one.
hey, I think this ad would have worked a whole lot better with a strong rational twist. something dramatic and true. like... prepare for
warmest winter in 125 years. nothing more.
aside from the lack of originality, the problem is it's not exactly true. global warming might actually lead to colder winters in many parts of the world. i'm surprised they didn't know that. or didn't care.
Your comment has tested positive for Comment Crotch Crabs. How'd you catch that?
Doin' it for the points
again with the "clever" comments. you're not smart. give up now and save the effort.
That wasn't ment to be clever.
Consider your button pushed.
Doin' it for the points
it's cute how you follow me around like a puppy. sad. but cute.
Urg, this is no longer amusing.
Tie score, I win on away goals.
Bye.
Doin' it for the points
They do sell these. My grandmother has one in her house. It's a snow globe with a floating snow man hat inside. It's called a Florida Snowman. Seriously.
i just have made one just like that with a polar bear last week...
snif...
Speaking of which there's another ad involving a snowglobe...
with polar bears inside it.
