doesn't take it a lot of electricity & water to produce recycled paper?
but not as much as from virgin wood pulp.
1 tonne of recycled paper saves 17 trees, 380 gallons of gasoline, 24,000 gallons of water. It takes 65% less Energy to make recycled paper. It creates 75% less Air Pollution and 35% less Water pollution.
One pound of newspaper can be recycled to make
a. six cereal boxes
b. six egg cartons
c. 2,000 sheets of writing paper.
....a single sheet can be recycled up to 5 times without loss of quality!
says who? :P
says facts.
