so either they didn't know "spade" is a racist term for black. or else they didn't care.
That was my first thought. Not sure if it's the team that created it, or an overly sensitive viewer, but someone's going to be crying about this one...
Than you never heard about Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky when your first connotation about spade is racist term used in the post-Civil War era in US.
More likely the latter.
While it's awkward as hell in English-speaking countries, I seriously doubt these guys were aware of the full connotation.
That said, the whole series is tacky and ugly.

Serbia is like new Russia. Everything sex.
That said, they don't have to be aware of "that" connotation, which would be totally lost on the Serbian public. The ad was made for a non English speaking market. For that reason, I find nothing controversial here. Just a boring tacky campaign.
So we agree. I think.

She looks like she's ready to go home.
The thing about the copy is that the original in Serbian "dama pik" has no racial connotation whatsoever. Granted, when translated it is a somewhat unfortunate solution.
Vanjaaa, Vanjaaa, Vanjaaa!
