Would you be kind enough to post a link?
Scam means wasn't released for real. It doesn't mean copy copy copy. ;)
was it actually released?
Yes, google confirmed it. See the link way below.
These aren't a scam, they actually did run
Very good!!
It's the ultimate scam but I still like it.

Would love to see a complete campaign.

Word correction feature isn't even an exclusive feature for google...It's sad how they missed the better features of google such as keeping a track on your searches so it knows what results are you looking for...
superb!
This is the perfect idea for a social media campain. Showing a funny idea like this. And in the scond phase involvement of the target group to have other ideas for this campain for a competition. Friends can vote etc... this would make this 10 times better.
Like these
fuckin funny and great idea. respect
hopa, scuze
lol 'Battle Sheep' ...pretty scam.
YES !!! this is great !
It's a cute joke, I like it as a joke... but it has won an award Golden Drum and I don't like that.
I like it al lot, but it is a Scam. Definately a scam. Google doesn't advertise and definately not landscape... A pitty that work like that get's awarded, just like 30% of the work at Cannes... in my opinion advertising isn't only about coming up with ideas. It's also about selling them to your client...
Here here.
The problem with our industry is we have 2 industries: 1) that pays the bills, and tries to do the best work for their clients under constraint, and 2) people that produce SCAM work, win awards, get new jobs, and become the bosses of the people in group #1. And then they lost the business, and everyone shuffles around.
This is a nice little piece. It made me chuckle. But it's not advertising. It's art.

"I love some things, and don't love some other things."
Everyone knows that. I don't know why are u nervous. Its a part of the industry. And its part from every Industry not only in advertising. In cars there are conceptuallists , they make concept cars , nobody of us are driving those concept cars but yet, they become bosses to the ones who are producing the millions, every industry depend from the dreamers not from the money makers. Every industry is like that. And if u ask me is good that is like that , it gives u the force to runn out from the cliche of doing something. Take any industry in the world and see for the "dreamers" or artists inside. They are always there. When Toulouse Lautrec entered to the lithography printing house in the beginning of the 19th century to make the moulin rouge prints, the professionals inside they thought he was crazy, nowadays that method of printing is a part of every graphic school program
So ur theory that this is art is true, but its not wrong to do it. And if u ask me is better to have a boss who is an artist.

Hahahahaha! This is great!
Google says it's not scam: http://www.businessinsider.com/google-adwords-print-ads-2010-10
Hmmm.
I would bet that it went like this:
AD: "Ooooh! I have a great idea for Google!"
CD: "Wow, that IS great! I'll get the agency to produce it and we'll "sell" it to Google!"
GOOGLE TURKEY: "Let us get this straight… you'll GIVE us the ad, PRODUCE IT and RUN it for FREE, all if we "let" you use our name? SURE!"
Obviously that would all be said in Turkish.
That's how it often works, especially in secondary and tertiary markets, where the "clients" are merely regional managers (remember DDB Brazil and the WWF?).

If it ran, it ran. End of story.
@ Sirvan
Dear Mr. Jaded,
This ad ran, AND was done for one of the biggest corporations out there. Full stop.
You call this a 'scam' ad? Why? Because it's good? Your comment is oozing with the frustrations of an ad-jockey who is incapable of delivering + selling his client the good stuff.
No matter, end results are the same. Kudos to the agency for releasing this as a great idea, and kudos to Google for putting their name to it, and realising that trying to shush it would give the agency more props. Win-win to all.
Apart from those poor battlesheep.
I love it!
HaHaHaHa...I like it
Wow! People actually love this campaign? Not to belittle any one or anything like that but judging from the comments I would guess only one or two people actually work in the ad industry. I do not see what's so amazing about this campaign or this ad in general. The funniest thing of all is that it defeats the whole purpose of what it is promoting. Search for battlesheep on Google and see what I mean. Now THAT is funny! LOL!
Trucho
Excelente.
excellent
Excellent. Sirvan, you seem very angry. And it looks like all your brilliant advertising ideas get killed. Perhaps you should move to Istanbul!!!!
my fave. LOL.
its a good campaign.works for me :) art on the astronaut is a little dull but the ideas are really good.
nice

Love the campaign, however this is the weakest of the three for me simply because people wouldn't make the typo of entering two E's rather than one I. It still made me laugh though.

I'd really like these ads if every major search engine didn't have the same benefit.
You call that a battlesheep? This is a battlesheep:

May relate to the sad picture. I like.
My only critique is that the sheep is too "clean" for having been in battle. A scratch here and there, some dirt, the helmet is pristine - small details.
very funny.
crazy one! Google loves to give us funny suggestions when we search

277 voters
8.9 average.
That's what ads should do.
Will Think for Salary
excuse me?
as far as I know ads should sell. what are 66 comments (67 now?), 277 voters and an average rating (more than 90% from agency itself probably) got to do with selling things?
answer this please.
I need a good laugh.
Good One

knife on the leg made my day...
Haha I love this ad, poor sheep!
There must be tonnes of potential variations for an ad like this. I wonder why they chose that particular term over others.
