pathetic.
Comments on this website are too much offensive
theres way too many [edited by admin for foul language] things abt this ad to even try and be nice.
This is the S&F Berlin "Weru - Soundproof window" campaign. But badly executed.
similar visual but different idea. imho. and i think it serves the purpose here...vw is a tough thing to make ads for.
Guest, wateva ur smoking, dont do it near the children.
Just cos the objects are smaller in both campaigns, doesnt mean its the same idea.
The one is about a bigger trunk and the other is about reducing noise.
The Weru campaign was great, this is first based, unoriginal, and wats more, it's shockingly executed.
the thinking on this campaign is not that bad... i think it goes straight to the benefit of the product... more space in your car, everything seems to be smaller... mathematically it works... but the execution is not the best
f.e. this mom is just using one hand to lift something... things should be smaller for the trunk, not for you...... so, because there's more space you can lift one bicicle with just one hand??? it seems to be more important than the fact that its smaller for the car.. you know what i mean? it looks more like a vitamines supply or something...... it shouldnt be about you get bigger.. it should be about things look smaller inside the car... not that you can lift things with one hand
i hope this is useful
peace
I don't see what everyone's problem is. Besides the not so stellar, but effective retouching, what's wrong with this? In my opinion this is as clear as can be, it's a good idea.
Nobody has a problem, the problem is that this ad is reeealy bad.
I dare to ask you why, and on what planet you live where ads like these are 'reeealy bad'.
1. More space has been dramatized a lot better in others car ads. For example, Peugeot did a campaign that was illustrated like story books and showed really little kids going on an adventure across the back seat of a Peugeot 307. Not only will these ads appeal more to the consumer because of the technique of childrens storybook illustration, but they're also taking the benefit from an unusual angle which ads more drama and originality.
2. These ads are confusing because of the womens interaction with the objects. Is she a giant, are the objects for miniature people, does the car shrink ur stuff?
3. Even if this was'nt a bad idea, could they have at least gotten their light sources correct and put in better drop shadows? Those objects all look totally comped.
For me a bad ad is an ad that lacks originality and idea and is badly executed. These ads tick all of those 3 boxes.
Ok, then we simply disagree on some points like the lack of originality and the confusing bit. I think it's rather nice and simple, not much else to it. I thought it was so direct and easy to understand that I couldn't really understand someone having a problem with it.
Nice ads. Nice execution. I don´t see why it´s such a big deal. Good basic advertising.
That's excactly the problem. Volkswagen ads shouldn't be basic, they should be brilliant. These are obviously not.
as opposed to every other client? No ad should be basic.
I think VW ads are boring. They´re stuck in 1978, creatively. Except for crispins stuff in the us.
I think these are rather nice. Simple.
I like the idea. I dislike the execution. Some of the mini-objects look like they are flying
I think the digital retoucher spend so much time shrinking those items that he did a rather average retouching on them. The worst of the worse comment is that he forgotten to retouch away the softboxes (it's next to the headlight!) and the light frames, etc. Gosh! Unbelievable easy to spot but so easily missed.
Wait! Is that the bloody Art Director in that reflection???!
"Bowww Wowww"
"Bowww Wowww"
for those who think this is good...
ask yourself, does this AD change the way u look at this product??
or does it makes u want to buy this car??
or is it u like it cos its just something interesting that u can't see it on daily newspaper..
ad is an art...
art aint ad!!
chirp chirp chirp...
This is a car advert. Sure, there has to be an idea to classify it as an advert. But the car should always look perfect - no matter how bad the advert part is - or isn't. And in this case, it's simply not so.
"Amazing space, how bitter the sound..."
I thin they are cosy in a fresh way. It´s a family car and the ads focus on family issues without getting too funny and ending up a meaningless gag. Nice, but not in any way legendary, but then again, does everything has to be?
soooo first-level thinking...
Deja Vuu.
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.
hey nice try, i like the execution
but the concept..fitting small things into a big car isn't very good coz they are..small afterall
Y is this crap ad getting so much attention?!?
because people are morons. haha. talk about effective ads.
Not bad.
Already exist...
too small objects. can't see much details
estoy un poco cansao de avisos que usan el recurso de agrandar o achicar para comunicar beneficios. En principio resultan atractivos, pero quedan vacío de contenidos y muuuuyyyy lejos de la gente.
