I think the reason they deigned to disclude copy was to give the brainy smugbodies something else to swank about: being able to decode the visual. Reminds me of the recruitment drive for google, huge swathes of algebra that decoded into a contact number. Basically "Only the brainy are invited here". A nice way I guess to filter your audience, so a smattering of applause for the thinking on this.
