Gogo Lounge/Anti-smoking bylaw: Kisses
Oh well, so much for smoking...
Club owners were in a panic about the anti-smoking bylaw set to take effect in the city at the end of May 2006. This ad attempted to fight the problem.

nice thought (the kissing thing)
but why this 'sorry, we're closing' light? this really ruins the vibes
btw, nice paint-by-numbers image on the bbr canada website! with a little surprise when you finish it
I understand the point they're making, but my first impression was that this place was some kind of swing joint. The concept is kind of lost upon me because people are still going to taste like smoke, they'll just be smoking outside. An empty lounge would have been more accurate.
i have to say, i love the chair. don't shot me for irrelevant comment :P

yeah..i agree with both the comments above.
the copy isnt cutting it here...the message just isnt strong enough. nice 'say one thing, show another' thinking here tho!

You may be more desirable to the opposite sex, but it doesn't mean that everyone is going to become an exhibitionist and start fucking everwhere, in public for that matter. That's the part I can't seem to get my head around.
No smoking and no drinking either by the looks of it (besides 2 untouched cocktails). If that's how they carry on at Canadian nightclubs (with the lights conveniently on so you can see the action) I'm booking my next holiday to Canada.
weird ad tho...
I really like the color scheme and overall quality of the art direction on these.. But I don't think it's a strong as it could be for the reasons mentioned above.
It seems more like an Axe/Lynx ad to me.
yep- totally don't get it.
Love the lesbiens and those hand shaped chairs too... I like the idea that the action is smokin' hot in the palm of your hand... instead of a cigarette.
phew nice interpretation but i'm not sure this was the idea behind it...
you're right hang-the-dj, there's no drinking in this place and i think this is just what the club owners are worried about most. that people drink less when they're not allowed to smoke
Maybe they sell chemicals drugs instead and that's why everyone's gone all soft-porn.
Looks like some of the women are about to start smoking something though...
Reminds me this ones... http://www.planetperplex.com/en/saatchi_saatchi.html
i´m sure u know them...
I think this place is a bust! Groovy on OUT!
