It's not bad. I think it works.
Is there any reason that the verb is 'shifting'? Is it just a play on cars because it seems a bit jarring to me. I would have preferred a simple 'moving'.

Would have been a good idea if it was original. This concept has been done to death. Pls refer the automobile section here and you wud see for yourself. Creativity is appreciated when the thought is original.
