from now on there are 2 extra trains early morning and late evening.
that's why the cow can't have a good night's rest anymore.
why a cow? because that's probably what the passengers see on the track between Geneva and Marseille every time they're looking out the window.
why no horns? well as you said, it's just a special breed.

so I won a bet!!! Many thanks!
This is what I first thought about the lack of night rest for the poor animal and the tired eyes. But then a girl next to me said that the eyes have nothing to do with the whole pic and the main thing is the horns or the absence of them to be more exact. And she keeps on insisting :)))
well maybe i'm wrong and in france cows just lose their horns when too many trains are passing by. this cow just lost 'em so that's why she seems rather depressed.
addyhoch10, which side you are on? (c) ;-) :)
My opponent supposed that one of the horns was knocked down by a train when the cow was coming to pasture in the morning, and another - when it was coming back home in the evening :))) That's why the animal looks so sad :)
hi guys, i'm the copywriter of this ad and i confirm that the idea is in the eyes and not in the missing horns, i don't know how it is in other countries but here in france female cows do not have horns, so nothing is missing. it is just a cow tired of watching trains early morning and late evening :)

damn good! cool stuff.
took me a while, but it's damn funny
Wickedly clever. Nice.
good idea here..but the photoshop job on the eyes is terrible...
100% with the ashlands here.
True...the photoshop work on the eyes could have been better.
funny idea!
another classic from tbwa paris.
envious.
What a fantastic idea, nice thinking, wish I'd done it! grrrr
Yay, a strong concept at last, how refreshing.
The legend lives on.
Go Erik.
Can somebody tell me where are the horns??? Everyone talks about eyes and nobody mentioned them poor horns!!! Or is it a special french breed?
Bulls have horns, not cows I think. But than I though cows are purple until I was like 10. Too much exposure to Milka.
Cows also have horns! :) At least all our cows, so I never saw one without :)
even the milka cow has horns:

"it just seems that something's missing..." (c)
May be...horns? ;-)
Can you explain this ad for me pls? Didn't get it :(

there you go..
Oh... it's her sister :)
hey salamandos, thx for the link but... is this a real cow or just another 'be somebody else' ps2 ad?
real - I googled the term "french cow"
ok thanks but i got it ;)
but I'm not sure - the haircut keeps confusing me
haha yeah, strange haircut for a cow...
anyway, when i saw your cow pic it reminded me of this:

you should really have your designers go back and completely rework those eyes..
ccousteau, i hear that all the creatives at TBWA Paris have eyes like that cow, is that true? I hear they work you guys HARD and LATE
Merci, Clemence :) But at least people know now that there's a place where even female cows have horns :)))
great work clemence. great work, TBWA (as usual). from a disruptor from Nigeria. you guys rule!!!
cool.
this guy has really nice stuff... (Erik Vervroeven, i mean...)
maybe that guy but not everything comming from tbwa paris is great, i think this ad is just ok. nice art.
nice art?! wow
actually, i've observed something about tbwa paris' postings.
if u check out the printed stuff, it all looks good.
like in archives.
but when they post it on the net, the colours get screwed.
probably why u see the photoshop work as bad...
... it was adjusted for print output.
I think that is true.
pretty funny. but i dunno. i don't like these cartoony ads.
Oh my gosh..This is incredible. Good work, guys.
keeping in my track box

and by the way, there is no such thing as "female cows" :) cows are females, bulls are males

Considering the time and money to produce this ad...the eyes qre not so bad done. ;)
