Food for sadists: Two

This is a new outdoor campaign against foie gras, signed by Belgian animal rights activist group GAIA .

Foie gras - or “fatty liver” - is still a very popular Christmas and year end dinner dish in Belgium. Because most people don’t know it’s made from the grotesquely enlarged livers of ducks and geese, the result of horrifying force-feeding.

The campaign was supposed to run in 40 major Belgian railway stations… but the railway company refused the posters because they are “too shocking”.

While banning foie gras may be a cause worth wasting your time on, using sexual S&M angle belittles the issue.

Actually it's quite a cheap stunt. No wonder the railway company wouldn't run them.

If saving ducks or goose is a worthwhile cause, try a more moving approach.

Foie gras is good, this ad isn't. Also, you GAIA ruins families' lifes with this movement, families who earn their living by producing high quality foie gras in countries with high unemployment, like Hungary. Try to do the same with caviar and you will have to run because Igor, Vitalij and Volodia will come with friends to speak about it.
