ha ha ha... like it.

things like safety needs serious tone. association of wit and humor works but possibly doesn't go deep in human mind. and stays for short term.

will pass the message and will work for the brand. short term though.

this one would work in germany, in german theres the same word for bench and bank

These Ads are for Canada. Distorting reality dilutes credibility- same as what overselling does. Buckling up to a bench? Demonstrating extra safety where safety is hardly required. Tempted to think of this situation as a perfect case for a 'Shrink'.

this ad is strategically and creatively is why:

strategy: they attached a seatbelt that does not need a seatbelt. that's like buying insurance against a chinese invasion in kentucky. it makes no sense to spend anything on this measure and that reflects poorly on the bank. I want to trust their judgement and this means I can't.

creative: really? seatbelts on a bench? not even if you had a good reason would this be interesting. the only aspect worth watching is the hipsterette in her tight jeans and (big, corporate) chucks. I bet she thinks that's an alternative brand.
