Lol too, NotSure. I'm sure nobody meant to offend canadian people. Ok, obviously, according to you, a junior team did it a few years ago for a local competition. But once again, it was not a campaign made for a real client and run in press and/or outdoor. It has never been seen in a big award show, such as Cannes Lions, D&AD or the Clio Awards. You couldn't even google it. And there's an ocean between France and Canada. So what's the point of talking about it ? I'm sorry but, on my opinion, it's really not relevant.

A canadian team won a trip to Cannes during the "The Globe and Mail 2008 (or 09) Canada young lion competition", with the exact same idea (same brief as well). Impossible to find it on google though.

Hopefully, we creatives don't have to care about all the students ideas in the world. Imagine if we had to ! Any student could say : "Hey, mister, I thought about it three month ago, it's my idea ! You didn't know ? I don't care, It's MY idea". Well, it would be crazy !

I had already said in a post, a few weeks ago, what I thought about student campaigns posted on ad sites : it's just not fair ! Student ads are not relevant to me. Having an idea is one thing, selling it (and finally running it), is another one (much more difficult). So please stop comparing real ads to student ones.

Yep, it's way too easy to refer to some obscure student work and say "done". Nobody can know what young people have in their books all around the world.

You're not even talking about the Young Lion competition, but about the former canadian selection !... Come on, be serious, dude ! We've all in our books some good campaigns we've never been able to sell ; when we finally see them in a festival, we can't blame the guys who succeeded in selling the same idea.

Lol - ok, i get you guys are upset but i'm not even saying it's a ripp off or anything.
I'm just sharing a fact: this idea has been already done - not by students - but by a junior team.
And for a well known competition in Canada - don't be condescendent! :)

I'm not judging anything/anyone. I know it sucks. It happens all the time. Life is hard for a creative.

I would expect they double check the URL on the poster as there is a missing "t" !:

Not "odd" according to me. But I agree on the second part of your comment ! I especialy liked the "dragon" and "bikini" ones, they're very catchy.
