they came up with this idea too late. The Fastforward symbol has been raped.
Anf if i had to do this i wouldnt put the other symbols, its obvious enough. All you need is the red logo with the line.

I think Ivan should leave it to a panel of judges to select the work. It's too much strain for one
man to sit and judge all the work.

maybe he owes the Kuwait agency a favour ;)

I don't do favour posts. And, trust me guys, this ad stands out in Kuwait.

oh come on, guys. this ad is 1990ies.
plus, i am pretty sure that international coordination hasn't seen and validated this ad, as one is not allowed to play with the logo…
at least, we got an interdiction…

The logo should have been left as it is originally and then you'd have something ordinary, yes, but
with identity. It'll work if you see it on the side of a bus.

How many of you guys did ever work in a difficult market? I mean the Middle East, Asia (countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and NOT Singapore), northern African countries?
For Kuwait standards this is not bad at all.
Of course it's absolute crap compared to what goes on in the rest of the world but ads like these do make a difference over there.
Every market was once a "Kuwait", check out Hong Kong before it became big, or Singapore, or Bangkok.

Very true, well said. The guys just have to see what's going on in some parts of the world,It's a very difficult market in there (Kuwait), BUT that's part of the challenge creatives has to take.

Yes, I agree, the challenge for them is to keep moving on until the standard becomes more international.

yeah..i see what you mean, aishiteru. it's true. a good effort needs to be appluaded. if kuwait is really so bad then this ad is definitely a ray of hope. you are right again, every market was once kuwait. india still is kuwait in many ways. very difficult market. it's like a different country every 1000 miles. and chances of one getting lost are very high. especially during the festive season.

We are all guilty of adnocentrism.

ivan's picture

What's that slim?

Gilsem's picture

adnocentrism: The belief that one's own creative culture is superior to all others and is the standard by which all other cultures should be measured, I guess.

nice one slim:-)

Looks fake. ALmost all the corporate guidelines never allow the logo to be twisted, turned etc. Idea is quite overdone as well.

IN KUWAIT.. it's not easy having this kind of ad to get through, I agree with Ivan that this stands out in Kuwait. I bet some creatives there are really having a hard time pulling things together in terms of standards, well it's really tough. If you happen to work in a difficult market and clients, you'll understand. peace:-)

every comment is biased, we shouldn't take ourselves so seriously and try so hard to showcase our
supposed knowledge of something we have no control of. exchanging ideas & points of view is nice,
nonetheless. thank you Aishiteru, and kudos to B Communications & Advertising, pretty sure they had quite a tight brief.

I know that the market is difficult but did this really run? As it is?
If it did than well done Kuwait but if this is just to post here than the creatives must have had no boundaries, no clients and this is their creativity at its best.
