... with ads like these I really wish they spent less on advertising and more on lowering the prices. I already like Energiser, but this makes me feel cheated somewhat.

It surprises me that leading advertising agency/ies in America do such incredibly dumb work. Does it indicate the lowering of the visual literacy / imagination / education standards of the buying public?
