The activities of the Association des Professionnels pour une Publicité Responsable (BVP), one of the oldest-established in Europe, place great emphasis on the provision, by its legal department, of copy advice to ensure compliance with legislation and its codes. By the industry's decision, advertising is subject to compulsory pre-clearance by the BVP.
