Earthquake Awareness: Squares
They felt more than what you've seen.
Help the earthquake victims in Jogja and Middle Java!
I'm not crazy about the art direction or the copy, but it's a good use of optical illusion for advertising. You have to look at them at full size to get the effect.

nice trick, but lacks the emotion needed to make it fully effective. That said, I'm sure it'll build awerness effectively, so maybe that's enough.

Here's something we did overnight for Kashmir quake victims. Not executed with finesse. But generated lots of donations.

Hmm...it's kind a interesting may be...But this Optical illusion idea been done too many times....
Read the first two comments and everything has been said.
1. Zero emotional (and what the fuck does a moving effect has to do with earthquakes?)
2. SEEN IT ABOUT A MILLION TIMES. Check coloribus.com
I always get optical illusion stuff from friends via email...it's a great way to waste time here at work. As an ad trying to shed light on tragedy, I'm not sure if it works. Where's the humanity?
mmm...don't get it...i mean were's the big deal of an optical ilusion in the middle of the page? what does it have to do with earthquakes?
making remember with martini ads, but nice try
chippery, stop judging people...chippery : 0 / 10
Ironically, YOU are the one judging people. He was just judging ads based on how he saw it.
At least he used a username so that if he receives flak he takes it unlike some anonymous cowards.
TOUCHE!TOUCHE!!TOUCHE!!!
No one should score ads individually 'cos your view of the
world is as limited as the extent of your knowledge and experiences.
This is no exam hall anyway, simply professional and sound reviews
for the benefit of all.
From my limited and humble opinion. Unfortunate idea with a soft message. I’m left with nothing to think about and nothing to care about.

I agree...think the impact and serious tone of the ad doesn't really show.

Nice idea, bad execution. I don't get the effect.
