Big party at the weekend? Does this make sense in the UK? Wouldn't it be better to say "Big party this weekend?" or "Big party over the weekend?"

As an American working in London, this is something that has thrown me before. It does make sense here even though it's not how we would say it in the States.

The ads suck and they are currently plastered all over the underground. They're infuriatingly badly done and as many comments here and around London attest, they are more likely to annoy people and send them to the pub than get them to cut back on their drinking.

- Commenting in all caps with poor spelling and grammar is so done before -

- The only thing more rare than a good ad is a good guest comment -

Oh my God, how weak is the creative for this campaign considering it's such a weighty subject? I'm off to the pub for a pint!

I wonder who's giving this over written tripe high votes.

well, with this kind of work being produced, i doubt the Captains of this ship are doing fuck all more than waxing their own turds. How long did it take to think these up BTW? Sorry, Im being bad, the ads are... erm... piss poor!

Basic copywriting... just too basic. more like a direction signage cum cut-and-paste work of a common.
