It uses a kind of chart seen in science books to illustrate comparative size. So it's a (small, mild) visual joke. I'll give it points just because it is something other than the huge, ugly product shot shoved in your face.

Isn't the Eiffel Tower taller than 8 and 1/4 giraffes? Unless the giraffes are super mutant safari monsters...the average giraffe measures 4.3 metres tall (thanks Wikipedia), which would make the Paris landmark in the illustration only 34.4 metres high. Lame.
This ad is making me think a lot. Maybe it's actually really good.

Brook, you are so right. ( For the Americans in the crowd: The average male Giraffe is 17 feet tall, which would make the height of the Eiffel Tower in this ad 140.25 feet tall. It is, in fact 1063 feet tall.)
