It's really difficult to control all the annuarys and archives
of the world. Maybe it's true that these 2 campaigns are
suspiciously near, but in the VW Touareg case I have to say that
it's not difficult to arrive at this ad. I'm a student, and I arrived
at the same ad for the same car, just playing with brand logos.
When I saw 'my ad' here I really get surprised, because I thought
that I was the only person of the world who arrived at that conclusion, but
now I know that these things can happen in advertising. Ideas are there
waiting to be discovered, and sometimes people arrive exactly at the same
conlusion without cheat.
Maybe agencies had to have some people exlusively controling wich campaigns
are done and wich not? Maybe somebody like Joe La Pompe?
Yes I know him. And as you can notice, copies are so many years far form the original. A CD of mine use to say that you must copy an old good idea in order to celebrate it and keep it alive. I never understand how much old.
Well, I'm a student too, and I once arrived at the exact same TVC idea as one of my own classmates. That made me realise that these things do happen, although having the same ideas for all three visuals seems kind of suspicious... but then again, who knows? Maybe one in a million just happened.

This campaign (Dentyne Ice) was developed in 2005 and has been circulating the festival circuit for some time now. Shares amazing similarity to this campaign:

Wonder when Euro RSCG, Delhi did the Voltas campaign. I'm not making any conclusions, just wondering.
Reminds me to the stolen Volkswagon 'mountains' ad. Remember?
doesn't look similar to the VW one.
the aircon and the dentyne ice are too close as they are both going for the cool factor (pun not intended, but taken anyway)
You mean

Exact copy, like those Indian Artdirectors did in the VW ad. The original is Dutch.
In comparison to the "AC" ads, Just goes to show what a good art director can do vs. the other kind.
I would say this one is better.
Whitespace, what a surgical approach! You really look like a CD!

Clean, smart... I like it
Can anyone tell me what is the name of the song for the new dentyne ice Ad? The one where the girl kisses the frog.
Thanks,
Ethan
