well, not before. cause this campaign runs for a couple of years now. AFAIK makani started its own this year (it says november 2007). if that is correct, it's also obvious who's 'borrowing' here.
to me these ads are great. target bang on with this kind of 'weirdness'. nicely done as well.
this is the third time iam seeing same concept on shoes and second time for converse.
i'll prefer the ad done for id by makanis, great campaign.

in both the layouts the shoe proportion has gone wrong, thats y its looking kind a wierd. especially the couple layout (donno y such expressions.
