Tad too close to 'open cut mine' sandpit visual. :)

Yeah, the open-cut one is pretty damn good (though a little weak in the detail), I think they are just forcing a campaign for awards sake.

lol i love ppl that think that their childhood was the only one that did matter in the world. More then 200 countries, unfortunely there were no Tonka trucks in all of them.

I think it's sad that ads like this have to remind adults how children play and how children use their imaginations. People who are familiar with toy trucks and sandboxes know what they are for. They don't need an ad to teach or remind them. It just seems like this campaign is uneccessary.

Well yes, but if I may play devil's advocate - why advertise for anything then? We all know that shoes are for our feet, and we all know that whitening strips make our teeth white, and that condoms protect us from STDs and that chocolate tastes good.

So why bother advertising at all? Because I think it does more than simply teach us about products. These ads may bring us back to a time that we remember as a kid, a time that we loved and miss, and a time that we would like to share with our kids.
