Coca-Cola: AC

Coca-Cola: AC
Your rating: None Average: 7.6 (18 votes)

No brand name no logo - based on the thinking that the shape of their bottle (and there slogan) are popular enough. But with the move from Red to Blue - they're almost shooting themselves in the foot - saying that blue (Pepsi) is cooler and more refreshing than red (Coke)?

I didn't detect that it was a coca cola ad before reading it.

I was more thinking drinking-an-drivin' ad.

if this is a pepesi ad, then i am afraid pepsi is advertising for coke. cos the typeface is coke's and it is quick for the audience to link this to coke cos of the bottle and the ENJOY, before the blue color directs them towards pepsi.

Curiosity is also the mother of invention.

Good idea gone bad?'s picture

I don't think it's a matter of whether Pepsi owns blue, but that the consumers can and will link red to Coke, and blue to Pepsi as they have always seen the products in these colours respectively.

I too couldn't tell that it was a Coke ad at first glance.

The word "enjoy" written in that typeface is from a Coca-Cola slogan (enjoy Coca-Cola). If you're perceptive that along witht he shape of the bottle should be enough to tip you off. Still, I agree that it doesn't hit the mark as well as an ad should.

Well, if you are perceptive, and if you take the time to care, then the ad probably won't be effective for you as a selling tool.

Actually I thought the blue was for 'cool' as in hip, not Pepsi.

well well well
when i first saw it i thought it is a pepsi's ad , shiftting to the blue color
BIG MISTAKE COCA :)

i agree with omar
i don't really get the ad from coke!!!!
is it me the only one who confuse??

Guest's picture

attraction point the ad doesnt seem to convey whether its for car
its for a fan or is it for a drink
or is it an accident related ad
hence it is intriguing
relating the ad with cola and pepsi
was totally obscure

noooooooo.

I think the ad is somehow good but they could just use another blue if i can say so,darker or lighter.

Pepsi used a similar Font for the word "Enjoy", as the one Coke did, they eaven used the same word.
