I don't understand the art direction on these (and I don't really get the concept either other then what's been mentionned above)

Someone can please explain it?
Really I can't understand.
Maybe the answer is the man, but who is he?

"I could have killed 'em all, I could kill you. In town you're the law, out here it's me. Don't push it. Don't push it or I'll give you a war you won't believe."

i think the idea is all about seeing the details of the illustration and notice the blurry edges that tell you that they are the edge of your clear sight( outside the edge you see nothing)...i just find it little boring!

Why are those drawings so bad? Why I can't recognize those people? Where is that clear picture? Why they made this ad? Is it Ghandi, is it Gunter Grass, is it James Earl Jones?

Trifles make perfection, and perfection is no trifle.

The eyes are wrong, they are very big and female.

I dont know why they were drawn with pencil.

Why the white spaces?

Soft? where?

I think the case that the majority (myself included) are totally confused, says it all.

My take.
These guys were leaders who fought for India's independence. Their vision was quite clear, they knew what they wanted, where they were going. They are usally seen with their spectacles.

The illustrations could have been better though, I feel.

these are the people who had a vision for a developed India. Pre-independance era. Gandhiji, Babasaheb Ambedkar, etc. And all these people have always been seen with their glasses. Like Castro with a cigar. Having said that, am not able to understand what these ads mean. That these people look better without glasses? Or their vision remains unchanged even without their glasses. Got it, but lost it. SOS.

The picture is of Dr.Bhimrao Ambedkar, father of the Indian constitution. He normally sports a spectacle.
