i don't think your casual, weekend athlete is really looking at drugs as an option for improvement. (ignoring the executions entirely mind you.) i understand they're just trying to be funny, but they're just photoshop stupidity.
I was given prescription steroids as a child for a couple of years for my asthma. I didn't notice any sign of hair overgrowth then. Neither have I grown up to be as testorinally charged as most other guys. :P
I thought the only side-effects of steroids were an outbreak of pimples (which I got) and bulging pulsating muscles (which I didn't).
Schizzy, when women take testosterone to increase their sports abilities, generally speaking, they get male attributes such as growing hair where it normally wouldn't grow. These athletes they are showing are women who look like men because they have been taking testosterone and subsequently become very hairy.
When men take testosterone steroids, depending on the dosage, it will enhance the already present male hormone, they may get more agressive, they may get hairier (but who would notice?).
Steroids are used in all kinds of medications (asthma, psoriasis, eczema) and in dosages that would only cause minor differences.

Can someone tell me what the connection between drugs and being hairy is?
steroids increases the level of testosterone.
this causes manly attributes to show themselves.
such as hair.

Meh... such is the power of the written word that if used carelessly, can destroy relationships, countries, humanity, and worst of all... my ego :P
With great power, comes great responsibility. Use the written word well. :D
yuck! y wud they do such a horrible thing?
Same idea done in Australia for skins – performance enhancing without the side effects... done a bit more tastefully as well.
Hey guys, give this ad some credit. Ok, it's bad but I would definitely look if I were to walk past this one as a billboard.

True, but if ads are solely about getting attention, any hack could do them. Oh wait... we are hacks. What the hell are we doing with our lives?
I see you got my point. ;)
