it would have been a good ad but there isn't a link between the cat and the bat

I think there is a link as in general these animals can see in the dark pretty well (well, in case of a bat it's the ultrasound he gets orientated by but the point is there). So this works for me and besides - it's a fresh idea.

everything you say is absolutely true. i was referring to the fact that after you see the ad you think of a bat and when you see the product it says CATEYE. that's the only problem

Cat Eye is just the name of the product. The concept refers to being able to see at night. Duh!

Give that man a standing ovation.

Cat Eye is the name of the product. The bat idea is just to depict the idea of night vision or activities at night. As for those narrow minded peopel out there, please broaden your thought, use your imagination.
