This is just ok. It's cute, but lacks impact. I think the problem is that the fantasy object they are showing COULD easily exist and looks like a toy. That might come down to execution. In other words, if they took a full-size ice pick (or hammer or whatever you'd call that) and welded on a giant bottle opener, then it might have more oomph.

I don't quite get you on that one, Jeff. The ice-pick does have a bottle-opener welded to it. So, where's the extra oooomph you were talking about?
Most times, worst enemies used to be best friends...
i think this would have worked better as a give away gimmick rather than a print ad.
agreed i think it'd be a cute added value gimmick to give away in 24's definatly would encurage word of mouth at parties when you pull out your new bottle opener to help out a friend.
that's true.

You can EITHER use it as an ice pick OR as a bottle opener. So what?
Maybe first cracking the ice before you open the bottle? :)
whoever has done the shoot.. must be shot. the ice-hammer opener needs water drops on it. the image would've looked so much better.
ideas....30 minutes nahi toh free.
Lacks art direction.
The bottle could have appeared frozen incide the ice. The ciepick should be bigger.
agreed, it's and idea flat on the page
real men would open the bottle with the ice pick
Certainly answers the brief better than the recent Aussie Leo's Heineken 'snow' campaign.
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.
agree on that gimmick idea
"you are valued for your value so be valuable..."
What's being sold here? Cold? Ice? Certainly not beer. Any beer can be cold. All beers are cold if you put them in the fridge. How does being cold separate Carlesberg from any other flippin' beer?
~Cold isn't a flavour~
because its "Probably" the best beer in the world
carlsberg is probably one of the better brands amongst the worst beers in the world.
maybe drinking it extra cold helps reducing its bad taste.
justpassingby's right, would be much better as a give-away article.
