Just what the hell is going on here? A home with a child. A broken vase and flowers. A plastic looking young girl drinking tea next to a dangerous looking knife. Oh, and don't forget the men's watch and the torn clothes.

Right! She's not rough, just clumsy. She found the watch and the knife in the washing machine which explains the torn sweater. And butterfingers dropped the vase, time for a nice cuppa! Capiche?

Jack Mancer - when he said he was going to collect pencils, they thought he meant One show awards. He didn't.

"Violence. Selling sugar since slavery."

The only interesting thing about this ad is how they got fridge magnets to stick to ceramic tiles. I have a question to the creative team: is your target market Columbo?

The detective, not the place.

Watson a name - thought the homonymic nod to Sri Lanka's Colombo would suffice, thought wrong obviously.

What is the relation in Colombo here?

None. Columbo was a TV detective. He could find the tiniest clues and make them make sense in a bigger picture. He could decode even the deepest puzzle and find the answer. He would be able to understand this ad.

I am with you guys. This has put me in a Falk/Columbo mood.

This ad is spinning associations way more interesting than anything anybody connected with it could have intended. Should it get points for that, I wonder.

That's it.
