This is a fantastic campaign. Cannes Lions well deserved.
Btw, species dieing is normal. If they wanted to be correct about this message they should've said how many more species dieing in result of human activity vs normal die out rate.

Well said. I was thinking the same thing.
It won in the Press Illustration category. And that's how I see it too. The execution is perfect but the idea? Additionally the line does not correspond to the image. In the image You see that it is "5 before 12" for the animals. And the line says that every minute a species dies out. So two meanings mixed together.
incredible campaign, incredible visuals !
Holy shit - This is amazing.
It's that rare species that's equal parts innovation and familiarity, or what one might refer to as a perfectly designed and executed experiment in visual communications.
Yes the line says every minute and as we all know, a minute begins on top. maybe they should change the clock hand with the second hand but its outstanding anyway
There was no established rolemodels in my family. My mom was selling the drugs, and my dad did the streetwalking.
Brilliant!
simple association....
It’s a very nice ad, but as the animals are being crushed between the minute and hour hands, technically it doesn't fit in with the “every 60 seconds” aspect of the line. If the seconds hand was coming through to cut the animal up then that would correct. Anyway I’m nitpicking, it’s still a great visual.

youre ruining everything, admit it it was a good ad

Uh I already did..."It’s a very nice ad" "Anyway I’m nitpicking, it’s still a great visual".
wows. So powerful. and to shaun, They most likely used the other hand due to a more powerful image. The black bar seems more horrifying/crushing, and you can see the blood upon it in a good subtle way. It was most likely a design decision. But I do agree, they shouldn't of mixed the message.
brilliant campaign !!!
serious wound.
seriously treated. great idea, great execution.
stole the LION.

This is as powerful as an ad could be!

C'est une question de vie ou de mort.
First idea? You've got to be kidding.
@midas. then come up with something else, sell it to your cd, sell it to the account guy and sell it to the client

I like the art direction but I can't read the message within the ad..
