Think before you print!

The Lebanese flag features a green cedar tree. If we are not careful with the natural resources of our planet, the coming generations might have a much limited heritage!

I like it. Yes, there have been a couple of flag ads of recent. Something fresh about this twist. It's got a relevant message.

"Every ad is an opportunity."

Well the Cedar is a Lebanese Symbol that touches the heart of every Lebanese; also the flag; hence, the use of the flag idea, even though it is overused across other markets, I don't recall we did in Lebanon used it too much; I recall Exotica's flag Ad; Nevertheless, the idea behind this Ad is still very relevant to the campaign and it generate awareness that we will be losing our Symbol Tree as well as other trees

Thanks for your comment and feedback. I understand you are from Lebanon, so as my "target audience", i particularly value your comment. This ad was created for a specific target in mind and for a specific reason. It is not pretending to make a revolution in the advertising world, or talk to 6 billion people on earth or to win a yellow cat in Cannes. And I am glad that it somehow touched you.

indeed quite graphical i would say but i doesn't move me...i mean i cannot understand the motive!!!!!!

The man who stops advertising to save money is like the man who stops the clock to save time

are you from lebanon?

Hi Tricky. The Lebanese flag features a green cedar tree. On this one the cedar tree is cut, obviously to produce more paper as the line is suggesting it. The campajgn was produced for a digital agency: digital = paperless = good for the planet

first layer concept. Don't like it. Don't hate it.

yvancg's picture 172 pencils

I would be interested to know what you mean by "first layer" Could you please elaborate?

"using flags to promote an idea isnt fresh thou"

Well, using a pack shot is? ;)
Always depends on the message.

yvancg's picture 172 pencils

I believe that more or less every single existing "thing" on earth has been used to promote ideas. That applies to copy, silhouettes, hand, dinosaurs, jesus, condom, post-it note, crocodile...
I think our job is more about delivering the right message to the right people rather than finding the one thing that has never been used before to lay out an ad on a late night out.

Hi rolling.stone
Thanks for your comment.
The ad is for a digital agency.
We capitalize here on the environment-friendliness of digital
