Rules are: If you don't know it's been done before, it's your fault, not the the person who told you. Bad idea anyway.
Not to stick my nose where it doesn't belong, but I think he's saying that so many people on here are inclined to say 'been done', that it's blurry as to who actually knows what they're talking about, and who is just being negative. I agree that it would be nice if people could support their 'done before' comments with a link.
I understand the issue, but it would mean that one couldn't say it unless they'd spend whatever amount of time searching for the ad they refer to. If he cares that much, he could've just asked him for a link.
