Very nice... nice art direction
I disagree. The layout is pretty plain, and the retouch is so obvious in this one. I really don't see the "nice" in this ad.
FER.
ok, that means use this product and be an animal in your next life.
right Ivan?
The force is strong in this ad. Everything is forced.
agree, its 2 forced
~ old habits die hard, older ones never do ~
Ivan,
What will happen to the writing when the snake sheds its skin? The Frog is ok. But the Marking on the snake... that's going to go away soon... Food for thought?
Peace & Regards
VVV
Why are you addressing me guys? I didn't do the ad!
that's exactly the point! the snake sheds its skin over and over and the writing remains! or did you not get that?
I think the idea is to get the attention of the reader with some scary reptile images. The copy is misleading in that sense as it gets the next life idea into the ad. That is confused thinking. Probably forced by the client.
grow up everyone.
They took this a step further and i think its very unusual, unusual in a clever way.
agreed..
this is a different way of looking at the brief.
cool stuff.
also, i wouldnt be under any illusions that a "client" forced the creatives to put in the element of the afterlife.
Unusual doesn't mean good. A step further doesn't mean u achieve the target.
It is true for this case.
not good.
i wish i knew what the writing on the snake says. if it's a list or something that's cool. if it's something random or a person's name, then i'd say change it to say something like "buy milk" or "call mom".
Pagar Arriendo. Pay Leasing. That's what is written on the snake.
Nocopywriter - thank you. i like the ad even more now.
Same here, that clears up a lot!
Fail Harder.
Pay the rent. Yes.
whow now i'm confused. a snake abused as a memo with the reminder to pay the rent - the whole thing is an ad for a permanent marker and the line on it says 'permanent even in your next life'.
maybe i'm gonna get it in my next life (as a memo snake? who knows)
doubleU-tee-eff, sorry, haven't slept in 2 days.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah ok.
i want to make it my excuse that i am neither really familiar with the idea of reincarnation nor do i use permanent markers to write numbers etc on my hands.
ha, that's a good point. If this ink is going to follow me through to the afterlife, I certainly wouldn't put in on my skin. Kind of a silly execution now that I think of it. Don't write on yourself with permanent marker, just sniff it and call it a day.
Actually, the ad is saying that after you're dead and gone, and your body has gone back to the earth, the ink will remain. There's nothing left of your physical self, except the ink is so permanent that it followed you through to the next life.
I agree with you, I don't think the headline makes sense. It shouldn't say 'even IN your next life", it should say something about how the ink will follow you to the next life.
This is only an exaggeration to show how the ink is "strong".
Not good as Jimi Hendrix Permanent Marker Ad, but it's cool.
maybe this exaggeration is a bit forced. you're right, the jimi hendrix ad was way better

My Dear Ivan,
we know you did'nt do the Ad but you posted it.
nothing can get here until you see it...kindly spare us from such ads in future
which do nothing but look good.
I don't agree with that, we all learn from mistake/comments. There are some really experienced advertisers here giving a brand new perspective in looking into a good/bad ad, which I believe it's essential for us to learn/advance. If Ivan only post great ad, the only comments here will be great/excellent/envious/wow.. Then what is the point of have the comment section?
well Mr. Like.a.boy...
i used to have similar perspective until Ivan changed it.
nice visual, but the idea is so forced. and it is scary if something written on me i will bring to my
next life? inspire by birthmark? scary..ha ha.

a nice thought yes, and an unusual concept .... nice
donno if can sell this tho, the birthmark thing is a lil negative...
This is a little forced, no?
"Permanent. Even in your next life."
Feels so clumsy that I tripped just for reading it.
Should have just left it at "Permanent" and shown a snake and its recently shed skin bearing the same ink mark. Just a thought.
Love the ads. Nice work and cool concept.
I quite like it. It does seem a little forced, but it is quite nice nontheless.

The idea behind the ad was probably that even after the snake shed's it skin the markers ink remains and sinks in to the new one underneath. Thats what i think the 'next life' comment was driven towards. Thats my guess.
Nice photograph,
but the copy su*ks...
and i cant see any relation between the photograph & copy.
Thanks to comments I've finally got the idea.
bad... too complicated and layered
