You are quite right to add + and = signs but it could be understood very easily, you see... Many creative minds do not allow to get the concept within a real quick second. They come up with the aim to spend a little more time for discussion. What do you say?

You are totally correct...but what mainly makes me think all the time....is the Target Perception...how the target of this product would look to the Ad.
