does it really give the message? hmmm... not really

does it is accurate? no
.. and to be honnest, i don't want to see my president kissing or being happy right now, in this crisis times... i want' em sad, exhausted, ready to quit cause they%*£¨%* !
So Benetton can't sell clothes, so they're selling controversy?! They want to resolve years of bottled up hate and anger by showing the world's conflicting leaders kissing and making up?! What an ignorant and childish notion! If these ads work for you, then you were never part of the problem to begin with.
T-man... Benetton have always confronted us with their campaigns.
But they are talking on a higher level. The solution not the problem.
Talking to all of us, no matter what... as only Bennetton can.
Of course they can't solve years of hate. This is advertising for (everyones) God's sake.
We all love advertising because it's at the heart of freedom of expression.

Once again, Roger... these ads are not for you! These ads call for Un-Hating. If you've never hated in the first place then this doesn't apply to you. But if you have hated, then it's for reasons far more deeply entrenched than to be dismissed by a message of supposed love. No that most people that need to Un-hate will view these two men kissing as a symbol of love, rather as a mockery of their pain and everything they believe in.

Am I with peace? Absolutely!
Do I think it will come about with initiatives that over-simplify and caricaturize the problem, and further polarize both sides. Definitely no.
