I never saw such an awesome response for an ad. That itself shows..That's it!
I don't want to be "that guy" but, really? A gold lion?
The line is undoubtedly cool, but is ultimately a rearrangement of 'smoking gives you lung cancer.' The same line that has tried and failed to achieve its goal, time and time again.
As a smoker, I recognise the cool play on words, then move on with my life. It doesn't even make me think twice about quitting.
The truth campaign did much more for smoking than this will. Great copy, nonetheless. Everyone loves a pun.
