Why does it around? Is this some kind of new age logic?
It's an expression that means you get back what you put in. As in, if you're mean to dogs they'll be mean to you.
the problem being, it would make sense if it read as karma. but the way the ads are executed, it makes it appear as a deliberate act. as if dogs were exacting revenge. doesn't ad up. dogs aren't logical. sorry. try again.

a dog can scratch and bite, but it cannot punch an eye. and why are all these people fat and ugly? skinny & pretty ppl don't mistreat animals?
I don't think it works. These ads portray dogs as vengeful animals, which doesn't make me sympathize with mistreated animals.
