I DON'T LIKE THIS AD, don't say anithing to me, AND LESS THE MESSAGE, THEY CAN DIE IN PRISION in my oppinion.

hey Mr. 'Got out of bed on the wrong side'. maybe it was a parking ticket. Wen you end up in prison, ask the public to sign ur ass out of a hammering. You will also... end up there. hahaha!

yeah , not insightful at all. It's a very debatable subject, and a reach for fresh subject matter to submit to Cannes. You haven't convinced anyone that this guy is a victim. move on.

Faultless photography and retouching.
Convincing Model and handled with a light touch, could have really gone into a gore fest.
Reguardless as to whether you agree or disagree, it works as an advert, it makes you look closer at it...and as such remember a little more or discuss it. Job done.

i like the idea of the client, the topic deserves attention !
the art direction could go a got further, why hiding the message on the bottom and so small ?
pretty sad actually.

The reality is that people are getting put into prison and being released. If we're going to release them why wouldn't we want to make sure they re-emerge as productive members of society? Oh, wait...sorry...that made too much sense. It MUST be wrong because its not based on emotions! Kill everyone who has ever gotten caught doing anything illegal! That's what I meant to say.

Oh, and BTW, i'm too blinded by my own stupidity to notice that this is a spectacularly executed ad.

The day I give a dime to some fucking prisoner - especially here in South Africa - is the day that pigs will fly. I'd have thought France gives its prison population everything they need.

you think your resolve makes you tough, but it only shows how weak you are. truly compassionate people are the tough ones.

Good job. Good advert.

great art direction, hot topic so it seems...I would have preferred to see the original French version, quite sure some of the strenght of the headline & the body copy went missing in the translation

I don’t know if it’s right or wrong to support prisoners... But speaking of the ad it’s very nicely done.

Good art.
Not a convincing idea...does not convince me
very few people will feel pity for a prisoner

I comment the comments

The image looks like a man who has murdered people and will murder more. Not sold. Not sold at all.

jszczepaniak's picture 30 pencils

the image is actually of a model. he's never murdered anyone.

now, you might say "Well he still looks like a murderer, and that's the point." But I would say that since you think you can say what a murderer looks like (based on your "seasoned opinion", no doubt) but you're wrong (since he isn't a murderer) that you're the one with the skewed perspective that needs fixing, and not the creators of this ad.

They can rot in hell, lol

nice art. Message doesn't work.
What about this guy should make me feel any sympathy about him being finished off by jail? He looks like survivor, anyway.

Now, if you put a smaller, childlike, clean cut guy who looks innocent next to him.... play on fears of "what would I do in jail..."

or changed the copy to something describing how he started off falsely accused and wound up a hardcase...
