western countries execute nowhere near as many people as china. estimates range from 1000-6000 in 2007. no one knows for sure. it's a "state secret." the closest wester country is the US at 42. the problem is they execute people for even minor crimes like tax evasion. as for the ad, it's pretty expected. give that brief to everyone here and they'll all have the same idea.
